Mount Toast Images in Windows with Daemon Tools

Unfortunately, I recently needed to mount a disc image I created in Toast in Windows. After searching the intertrons for an answer, the best answer I could find was, rename the .toast to .iso, mount through daemon tools and pray for the best. One obvious thought that came to mind was, "Has anyone just tried to mount the toast file directly from daemon tools?" I was certain someone had tried and failed, but, to my surprise, it worked perfectly. I have not seen this documented anywhere, but, nevertheless it seems to work.

    P.S daemon tools says no problem mounting the toast image, but windows cannot read the virtual disc once mounted. Thereby daemon tools is not capable of mounting it...
  • Erik, I've never had this problem. I was able to mount toast images and access their file contents through the free version of Daemon Tools.

    I tried to mount it in daemon tools before doing my searching... I am still searching so obviously it didn't work....... found a solution already but want to find something free....

    It should be straightforward to mount a .toast, opening the files once inside is another matter. This doesn't matter, all i need is to mount the image so i can email the files (NOT run them). I keep finding retarded answers from mac users who havn't done any research or even thought logically about it.

    It is possible to mount .toast in vista, the question is can I do it without paying $19.99?
