Apollo to follow Flex to Open Source?

Mike Chambers' latest blog post hints that Apollo, or at least pieces of Apollo, may go open source. This on the heels of last night's / today's news that some of the Flex framework will be open sourced under the Mozilla Public License (MPL). Much has been written already about how great of a deal this is for developers. While this is true, I see this as being huge for clients as well. In my experience, one of the main reservations clients have to using a Flash / Flex is that it's a proprietary platform that they don't want to commit to. These moves should remove most of those potential roadblocks. Even if Adobe were to hijack the platform and do something crazy with it (which they won't), existing and future deployments can continue unaffected. In short, this is a great thing for the community as a whole.
